Course Materials

A full grooming kit is required to participate in the course. The kit includes:

Clippers, blades (#40, #10, #7, #7 skip, #5, #5skip, #4, #3 ¾ ), snap combs kit, straight shears, thinning shears, coarse, medium and fine combs, mini and medium slicker brushes, medium rake, medium stripping knife, pin brush, rubber hound brush, nail clippers, styptic powder, ear powder, ear cleaning solution and pads, blade coolant, blade cleaner, tack box, grooming smock.

The grooming kit purchased from Pleasant Park Grooming Academy is all name brand, good entry quality equipment. The kit is all you will need to work in a salon or veterinary office as a groomer. You may wish to add blades to your kit in the future, but all of the equipment should last you years if cared for properly. If opening your own grooming business is something you are aiming for, you will need to purchase some fairly expensive, large items; grooming tub, table, etc., which are not included in the grooming course.
